Type Grade Main chemical composition(%) Properties Austenite AISI 302 Cr: 18 Ni : 8 AISI 302 is placed above AISI 304 in tensile strength. AISI 304 is placed a little bit above AISI 302 in resistance to corrosion. AISI 304 Cr: 18 Ni : 8 AISI 305 Cr: 17 Ni : 12 AISI 305 is similar to AISI 302 & 304 in resistance to corrosion. AISI 305 is same level with AISI 316 in tensile strength. AISI 316 Cr : 17 Ni : 12 Mo : 2 AISI 316 has excellent resistance to corrosion and fine resistance to sea water. it is placed under AISI 304 in tensile strength and characterized by non-magnetic.
